This Public Transportation: Dallas Edition guide is your guide to the easiest and most cost-efficient way to get around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transport) has a bus system, trolley, and a 4-line rail system, all with daily, monthly, and single ride pass options.

Pass Options:

Single Ride: $2.50 Local
AM/PM Passes: $3 Local
Midday Pass: $2 Local
Day Pass: $6 Local, $12 Regional
Monthly Passes: $96 Local, $192 Regional

DART Rail Lines & Stations:

Red Line: Parker Road Station to Westmoreland Station
Blue Line: Downtown Rowlett Station to UNT Dallas Station
Green Line: North Carrollton/Frankford Station to Buckner Station
Orange Line: DFW Airport to Parker Road Station

Dallas Zoo – Take the Red Line right to Dallas Zoo Station (Ewing Avenue & Clarendon Drive), or use connecting buses 19, 515, or 522

Fort Worth Zoo – Take connecting bus 7

Dallas Arts District – Take the Red, Blue, Green or Orange line to Pearl/Arts District Station (Bryan Street, east of Pearl Street), or use connecting buses 19, 21, 24, 36, 81/82, or use D-Link (Route 722), or ride the M-Line Trolley.

Dallas World Aquarium – Take the Red, Blue, Green or Orange line to West End Station.

Irvings Farmer’s Market – Take the Orange line to North Lake College Station, or connecting buses 401, 501, or 504.

Downtown Plano Shopping – Take the Red or Orange line to the Downtown Plan Station (15th Street and Avenue J), or use connecting bus East Plan FLEX Service (870).

Uptown Dallas Shopping – Take the Red, Blue, or Orange line to Cityplace/Uptown Station (Haskell Avenue and North Central Expressway), or use connecting buses 31, 36, 409, 521, or ride the M-Line Trolley.
