Dedicated. Reliable. Hardworking. Great employees are the backbone of any successful business. From running day-to-day operations to providing excellent customer service with a smile on the front lines, here at InTown Suites we know that we could not function as efficiently and effectively as we do without the support of our staff. In honor of the upcoming Employee Appreciation Day, we’ve decided to recognize and thank six special employees that have dedicated 20+ years of service to InTown Suites. Here are their stories:
JUDI M.
InTown Suites Employee since 4/14/97
Judi began working at InTown Suites in 1997 with a three-day temp position that turned into the best decision of her professional career. Lucky for us, she’s stuck around for more than two decades! Judi’s favorite part of the job is working with some truly wonderful people and watching InTown grow from 17 properties to 189. When Judi is not processing payroll, you can find her answering Daily Doubles while watching Jeopardy, cheering on her favorite football team, curling up with a good book, or playing cards with friends.
ROB P.
InTown Suites Employee since 10/7/1995
Rob came to Atlanta looking to transfer his military service experience into a civilian management position—and InTown Suites was the perfect fit. Starting as a property manager at one of our Stone Mountain, Georgia locations, he grew both personally and professionally along with the company, quickly climbing the corporate ladder. He attributes his success and longevity with InTown to many factors like having a sense of humor, giving his most every day, and the support and community of InTown’s employees. But, between us, we think Rob’s strong work ethic plays a big part in his success and ours. When not on the traveling for work, you can find Rob surfing the web and catching waves at the beach.
BILLY T.
InTown Suites Employee since 1/16/1995
Billy started working for InTown Suites almost by mistake. As a maintenance worker for an InTown contracted service company, Billy was the first man on the job for many of our Atlanta properties back in 1995. After two months of flawless work, InTown’s former owner approached him with an opportunity to come on full-time and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s seen a lot in his time with us, including a truck driving though a room at one of our Jacksonville properties, but lucky for us, he’s excellent at what he does. From rebuilding walls to troubleshooting finicky boilers, Billy is always there to make sure our properties are running as smoothly as possible. When not at work, his hands are equally as full, balancing 10 grand kids, his love of fishing, motorcycling across America, and rebuilding his 1974 Firebird hotrod.
PAT T.
InTown Suites Employee since 11/17/1997
Pat’s story starts with answering a help wanted ad in the local paper. That was in 1997, back when InTown only had 12 properties and a single employee in accounts payable, Pat. From the beginning of our transition to a corporate business, Pat has been there ensuring our employees are content and compensated. Humble and heartfelt, Pat’s favorite part of working for InTown is the amazing staff she works with day in and day out. Outside our offices, Pat can be found fishing and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
DOLLIE S.
InTown Suites Employee since 12/29/1991
For 26 years Dollie has been counting her blessings, but we think we’re the ones who are blessed. A longtime member of our housekeeping team, Dollie’s infectious positivity and dedication to her work have made her an invaluable InTown employee and earned her the title of Executive Supervisor of Housekeeping. A generous soul with an unbreakable spirit, Dollie knows firsthand what it’s like to be an InTown Suites guest. She’s forever thankful to her InTown family, who stepped up to take her in last year when she lost everything in a house fire. We’re honored daily to call you an employee, thank YOU, Dollie!
DIANNE D.
InTown Suites Employee since 10/28/1997
Dianne came to us when her family moved next door to an InTown Suites property. Starting as a housekeeper, Dianne worked her way up to Property Manager through years of hard work and determination. Our guests are what keep her going, and her friendly professionalism is what keeps them coming back. Dianne maintains a healthy work/life balance through spending time with her husband Paul, their grandchildren, and blowing off a bit of steam by hitting the bike trails and shooting range.
The best employees are happy employees. These are only a few members of our InTown family, but every day we are thankful and appreciative of our employees across the country. We owe all of our successes to your hard work and look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries, Employee Appreciation Days, and experiences with each and every one of you.
